Putting books in the hands of babies and toddlers

Introduce a child to the right books at the right age and they'll be hooked on books for life...

Books should be fun, reading isn't a chore, it's  a joy to be shared with the next generation, and the earlier the better.

Books are precious, but it's what they contain that's the precious part, they're not some breakable ornament to be left on a shelf, they're to be opened and read, and yes, creased and maybe even torn, how else is a new reader going to learn how to handle a book, other than by handling as many as possible from as young as possible.

So put books in the hands of babies and toddlers and give them a precious gift - the love of books.

The ultimate way to a good night's sleep...

But I'm Not Sleepy  a bedtime story to make you think twice about counting sheep...

Lucy is jumping for joy...

Why?  because it's bedtime and she knows she's going to have a bedtime story, and she does love a bedtime story!

The sheep are running around in circles...
Why? - they have no idea, they're all  following each other like sheep do.
And what about Downboy the sheepdog?  Well he's just trying to do his job and round up all the sheep. Which isn't easy while Lucy is trying to count them to send herself to sleep...
But where will it all end? ...with sheep crashing around Lucy's room it
doesn't look like anyone will be getting any sleep...

The need to make a mess

What is it about editing that makes me want to do some messy art...? Maybe it's the process of trying to clean up any errors that's making my creative side rebel - or maybe I just want to make a mess... Either way I'm feeling myself drawn towards paints and maybe a bit of glue...

So what conclusion should I draw from this need to make a mess - maybe artwork is a good thing to do alongside editing, to bring some balance back.
