The journey of a book - destination - bookshop

After I'd written and published my first book: The Monster Under The Bed I wrote several articles on my experiece of the whole thing. Now that I'm looking for a publisher for my next book, I would like to share some of that journey with you. I say some of it, because I am already part of the way into this journey: I have written the story, I have also used a literary adviser, and subsequently rewritten the story. I have read it to a group of school children, and was delighted at the way the story grabbed their attention, and held their interest.

Somewhere along the line the character in the story became too much for one book, and sequels had to be written. Now I stand at a crossroads, the signs point in every direction: agents, publishers, self-publishers... which way to turn?

And so letters have gone out - emails sent, I must find a publisher for my book. So wish me luck, as I wish good luck to all you other authors out there.

The journey has begun... destination...bookshop!
