While my manuscript is away I'm back at the waiting game, but it's not been an idle wait - far from it.
I've attended school christmas fairs and even a swimming gala, where some of my books were given as prizes and my name appeared on the gala brochure, along with local businesses who had donated prizes. These events not only resulted in the sale of 26 books, but I also met some useful contacts for events next year which will hopefully lead to:
a book signing in a major book shop
a library event
a school visit
It's been a good year for my short stories and articles, seeing 11 pieces published this year, and a feature in Writer's News.
